Jasmine tea is a scented tea made by infusing a tea base, most often green tea but also white, oolong or black tea, with the fragrance of jasmine blossom; naturally scented tea takes the aroma from fresh flowers layered with the dry leaves, while cheaper grades are sprayed with jasmine essence.[1] It is the substance Indonesian labels print as teh melati, and the tea behind the ready-to-drink minuman teh melati category that Tehbotol Sosro created.[2] Use this page where a label names the jasmine scenting; where it prints only "tea", use the generic tea page instead.
