Indigo carmine is a blue food colour derived from indigo by sulfonation; it has the E number E132 and is named Blue No. 2 under the US Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.^[1] It is printed as BLUE 2 in the ingredient list of the 11 oz Fruity Pebbles box.^[2]
