Hop extract is an extract of hops, obtained by processes using carbon dioxide or ethanol as the solvent; it is used in beer and also in sweets, baked goods and dairy products.[1] On German beer labels it appears as Hopfenextrakt, as on Warsteiner Pilsener.[2]
