Ethylhexylglycerin, also called octoxyglycerin, is a glyceryl ether used as part of the preservative system in cosmetics, commonly combined with phenoxyethanol at a ratio of 1 to 9.[1] It is the last ingredient on the back of the 453 g jar of CeraVe Moisturizing Cream sold under barcode 3606000537668, which also lists phenoxyethanol.[2]
