About

Emmental is a yellow, medium-hard cheese with natural holes that originated in the Emme Valley in Switzerland; "Emmentaler" is a geographical indication in Switzerland, while similar cheeses from other countries are widely sold under the name.[1] On Polish processed-cheese labels it appears as "Ementaler", declared with its share of the product.[2]
