Bay leaf is an aromatic leaf used as a cooking herb, whole or ground, dried or fresh; the most common source is the bay laurel, Laurus nobilis, and whole leaves are removed from a dish before eating.[1] Fuchs Lorbeerblätter ganz declares it as its only ingredient.[2]
