About
Aluminium chlorohydrate is a group of water-soluble aluminium salts of the general formula AlnCl3n−m(OH)m, used in cosmetics as the anti-perspirant active and in water treatment as a coagulant, where its high charge destabilises suspended material more effectively than aluminium sulfate or aluminium chloride.[1] In anti-perspirant sprays it is the salt that reduces sweating; labels print it under the INCI name Aluminum Chlorohydrate, as on the 150 ml Dove Invisible Dry aerosol, where it follows the propellants and the silicone carrier in the statement.[2]
