About the range
Hill's Science Diet is the Hill's Pet Nutrition line of dog and cat foods sold through veterinarians and pet specialty stores, as distinct from its Prescription Diet foods for animals with specific diseases.[1] It was developed in the 1960s by Mark L. Morris Jr., son of the veterinarian Mark Morris Sr., who created condition-specific and life-stage formulas under the Prescription Diet and Science Diet names, and it reached veterinarians and pet professionals in 1968.[1] Adult Chicken & Barley Recipe is its dry food for adult dogs aged one to six.[2]
