The Coca-Cola Company's sugar-free, low-calorie cola, unveiled on 8 July 1982 as Diet Coke, the first new brand to carry the Coca-Cola trademark since 1886.[1] From 1983 it was launched internationally, in many markets as Coca-Cola Light or Coke Light; Germany used the Coca-Cola Light name from the start, and Germany and the Netherlands renamed it Coca-Cola Light Taste in 2018 before reverting by 2021.[1] It reached Spain in 1984, where it is sold as Coca-Cola sabor light sin azúcar.[2] The sweetener blend is formulated per country.[1] Variants are listed by GTIN.
