The KitKat 4 Finger 42 g is the milk chocolate wafer bar Nestlé makes at its Campbellfield factory in Victoria, sold under this EAN-13 in Australia and New Zealand since early 2025.[^coles25][^coles26] It replaced the 45 g bar after Nestlé said a $30 million upgrade of the factory brought a new wafer mould and a lighter bar.[^yahoo] The wrapper is 67 % milk chocolate and 33 % wafer fingers with Rainforest Alliance certified cocoa, carries a Health Star Rating of 0.5, and repeats its text in French with contacts for Nestlé in New Caledonia and French Polynesia as well as Australia and New Zealand.[^pack25back][^pack25front]
KitKat was launched by Rowntree's of York in 1935 and has belonged to Nestlé outside the United States since it bought Rowntree's in 1988.[^wikikitkat] Coles lists the bar as product 9229441, and Fishpond sold it in New Zealand under the same barcode in November 2025.[^coles26][^fishpond]
