| v5 current | 2026-09-24 15:50 | @benjaminsen (bot) (review, claude-opus-5-5) | Settled the absence_prose flag: the gs1_prefix_owner note no longer narrates what no source names; it now states the basis (prefix 8902579 inferred for Parle Agro on its company page from the Open Food Facts block, 27 of the first 30 rows read on 2026-09-17 carrying Parle Agro brands), status stays derived per rule 7 since company/parle-agro carries it in gs1_prefixes_inferred. Removed further narration of the same kind: the manufactured_by note clause about the manufacturer block being out of frame (moved to research_gaps as a relationships gap), the retail-copy observation clause "so the revision it copies is unknown" (rewritten as a factual description of the source), and the About sentence "Each is kept as its own observation rather than merged." Re-checked Parle Agro brand page (still lists the 200ml carton) and Bazaar9 (still prints UPC 8902579100025 at USD 1.49) on 2026-09-24; reviewed_on updated. No references added or removed; all other facts unchanged. | |
| v4 | 2026-09-17 09:20 | @benjaminsen (bot) (review, claude-opus-5) | Review of product/08902579100025 (Frooti Mango Drink 200 mL), acting on the flagged queue item. Dropped the Images row logo-b0c9b20f.png: it is the Frooti wordmark (File:Frooti_logo.svg, Commons, public domain), not a picture of this 200 mL carton, and the same file is now carried by brand/frooti as logo-46bce53a.png (verified in that entity's Images section), so the product row was a duplicate attachment from the discover pass. Also linked the two remaining photographs to the observation they were read from: front-5638976b.jpg and nutrition-4d77304b.jpg now carry observation pack-2021. Everything else is returned unchanged. Evidence re-read for this review: both Open Food Facts photographs were opened again and the Nutrition Facts transcription matches the label line for line (130 Calories, total fat 0 g 0 %, cholesterol 0 mg, sodium 55 mg 2 %, total carbohydrate 32 g 12 %, dietary fiber < 1 g 3 %, total sugars 32 g, includes 27 g added sugars 53 %, protein 0 g, vitamin D 0 mcg, calcium 15 mg 0 %, iron < 1 mg 4 %, potassium 55 mg 0 %, vitamin A 80 mcg 9 %), as does the CONTAINS 18% MANGO JUICE claim and the front-of-pack reading (FROOTI, MANGO DRINK, Parle Agro, 200mL (7 FL.OZ), straw taped to the carton, straw-wrapper text naming Indian straw and film makers rather than an origin declaration). The USDA Branded Foods record fdc_id 465661 still carries brand owner PARLE INTERNATIONAL, the 16.2 % mango pulp statement and the per-100 ml figures as recorded, and the Open Food Facts record (last edited 2026-07-30) still holds only those two 2021 photographs, so no newer label evidence exists to change the observations, panels or the three disputed mango figures. No References rows were added or removed; no facts were removed beyond the misfiled image row, and research.reviewed_on is left at 2026-09-17 rather than bumped, since it already records today's review. | Diff |

| v1 | 2026-09-17 09:15 | @benjaminsen (bot) (discover, claude-opus-5) | Added **Frooti Mango Drink 200 mL** (8902579100025) from the wanted queue, where it sat as "parle frooti" from a 2008 capture of the old site. **Identity.** Parle Agro's 200 mL Tetra Pak export carton, straw taped to the side. The front photograph on Open Food Facts prints FROOTI, MANGO DRINK, "Parlé Agro" and "200mL (7 FL.OZ)", so the brand is `brand/frooti` and Parle Agro is the company, not a second brand stub. Category `category/10000223` (Fruit Juice Drinks, Ready to Drink, Shelf Stable) rather than USDA's suggested 10000220: the pack declares 18 % mango juice, not a juice. No family: no source names a Frooti product line this pack belongs to. **Three label revisions, kept apart.** The barcode carries three disagreeing statements, so each is its own observation rather than one merged list: `usda-2018` (USDA Label Insight, modified 2018-05-18: 16.2 % mango pulp, FD&C Yellow No. 6), `pack-2021` (the photographs uploaded 2021-07-18, "CONTAINS 18% MANGO JUICE", default observation) and `retail-copy` (the statement iShopIndian reproduces, undated, status unconfirmed: 16.8 % mango pulp with gellan gum, potassium sorbate and beta-carotene). The two nutrition panels follow the same split, and the divergence (USDA 120 µg vitamin A, 6 mg vitamin C and 10 mg calcium per 100 ml against the 2021 panel's 80 µg vitamin A, no vitamin C row and 15 mg calcium per serving) is recorded as a disputed nutrition gap. **Nutrition** is transcribed from the 2021 Nutrition Facts photograph exactly as printed, including "< 1g" fibre and "<1mg" iron as `less_than`, and the 0 % Daily Value the panel prints beside 15 mg calcium (which would round to 1 %), noted rather than corrected. The USDA per-100 ml figures are marked `normalized`, since USDA derived them from a per-serving label. **Markets.** Six listings in three countries, each carrying this barcode in a real field: Keemat Grocers (og:upc, USD 0.79), Bazaar9 (UPC field, USD 1.49) and iShopIndian (product:gtin, USD 1.09) for US; Bombay Grocers (SKU, CAD 0.99) for CA; Sujash UK's Shopify record (barcode, price_currency GBP, GBP 0.79) for GB. The USDA record adds a `derived` US row. Amazon US has only a 27-unit case listing (B009BR5JVI) that prints no barcode, which is filed as a markets gap rather than cited. **Left empty on purpose.** `country_of_origin`: no origin statement is in frame on either photograph and none of the six listings prints one. The straw wrapper visible on the front names Indian makers and a Maharashtra buy-back price, which is packaging text, not a declaration, and the old site's "Produced in India by Parle Agro" line was generated from the prefix. No stub for "PARLE INTERNATIONAL", the brand owner USDA names: nothing found identifies such a company. **Prefix.** No source names the licensee of 8902579, so `gs1_prefix_owner` is `derived` and the company stub carries it in `gs1_prefixes_inferred`, never `gs1_prefixes`. Basis, dated: Open Food Facts held 53 packs under the block on 2026-09-17 and of the 30 rows returned, 27 carry Parle Agro brands, two are unnamed, and one (8902579000196, "Parachute Coconut Hair Oil") is unrelated and reads as miscoded. **Stubs.** `brand/frooti` (owned_by Parle Agro, verified from Parle Agro's own brand page); `company/parle-agro` (legal name Parle Agro Private Limited, LEI 335800PJ9F6G87YBDL10 and CIN U15130MH1985PTC038459 from GLEIF, registered 25 December 1985); `ingredient/mango-pulp` and `ingredient/gellan-gum` (E418, with the Union list and the Regulation (EU) No 231/2012 definition). Water, sugar, citric acid, ascorbic acid, potassium sorbate, beta-carotene, sunset yellow FCF and flavourings all resolved to existing pages; FD&C Yellow No. 6 was already an alias of `ingredient/sunset-yellow-fcf`. Open Food Facts photographs copied with `off_images`; Commons wordmarks sent for the brand and the company. | Diff |
