Vegan KitKat 3 × 41.5 g is a flow-wrapped pack of three four-finger KitKat V bars, the plant-based KitKat in which Nestlé replaced the milk of the original with a rice-based alternative.[^fooddive] Each bar is a crisp wafer covered in vegan couverture chocolate (67.2 % of the bar); the wrapper carries the Vegan Society trademark and names Nestlé Deutschland AG in Frankfurt am Main, with consumer-service lines for Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal.[^packfront][^packback] Nestlé announced KitKat V in February 2021 and took it to 15 European countries in 2022, making it at its Hamburg site.[^wikikitkat][^fooddive][^justfood] In January 2025 Nestlé said it was discontinuing the vegan KitKat because demand had fallen.[^justfood]
KitKat V was developed at Nestlé's confectionery research centre in York, and Nestlé said its farm-to-consumer carbon footprint is 18 % lower than that of the standard milk chocolate bar.[^justfood][^fooddive] KitKat.de presented this 124.5 g Vegan Multipack with the same ingredient list in March 2024.[^kitkatde] A German wholesaler still catalogued the pack in September 2025 with carton code 8445290334503 and 24 packs per carton, and Knuspr lists it as no longer available.[^depha][^knuspr] The wrapper photographed in November 2023 carried a best-before date of February 2024.[^packphoto]
