Serek wiejski lekki is the reduced-fat member of Piątnica's cottage cheese range, sold in Poland in a 150 g plastic cup: grainy curd in pasteurised cream with milk protein and salt, 3 % fat and 81 kcal per 100 g.[^maker] The lid explains the name with an asterisk, "40 % less fat than in regular cottage cheese 5 %".[^off26ing] It is made by Okręgowa Spółdzielnia Mleczarska w Piątnicy, the Podlaskie dairy cooperative registered at ul. Forteczna 3 in Piątnica,[^krs] which launched Poland's first cottage cheese in 1992 and built the category around it.[^coop] A Polish grocer listed the cup at PLN 3.19 in September 2026.[^topsklepy]
Two label generations are recorded. The cup photographed in 2019 carried a green "bez GMO" badge on the lid for milk from cows fed non-GM feed;[^off19front] the cup photographed in January 2026 has dropped that badge and uses its asterisk for the fat-reduction claim instead.[^off26front] The printed nutrition panel is unchanged between the two.[^off26nut]
