Pastella jajeczna ze szczypiorkiem is a chilled egg sandwich spread sold in an 80 g plastic cup by Lisner, the Poznań company that leads the Polish market in herring products, salads and sandwich spreads and belongs to the pan-European food group UTM, best known as the owner of the Müller dairy brand.[^lisner-about] Half of it is cooked egg, bound with rapeseed oil and seasoned with ground mustard, turmeric, grated horseradish and 0.4 % chives; the label declares eggs and mustard as allergens.[^lisner-pl] Lisner added spreads to its range in 2001 and sells them under the Pastella name in flavours from bacon and salmon to tuna and chanterelle.[^lisner-about] Polish grocers stock the cup at about 3.29 złoty[^dwojka] and Polish-food shops in Britain at 1.29 pound.[^foodplus]
The lid photographed for Open Food Facts in 2020 is an export print: the Polish front face carries an English nutrition line with a Czech block beside it, and every figure on it matches the panel Lisner publishes today.[^off-front] Two data pools still carry earlier panels: Selgros and a British shop give 1626 kJ with 39 g of fat, and one Polish grocer an older recipe of 1674 kJ made with wheat fibre and red paprika flavouring.[^selgros][^dwojka] Each is kept below as its own observation; none of the three is dated by its source.
