Mezmerize is the fourth studio album by American heavy metal band System of a Down, released on 17 May 2005 by American Recordings and Columbia Records.[^wiki] This barcode is the limited-edition UK picture-disc LP, catalogue number COL 519000 1, issued on Columbia in 2005; Discogs lists it as a one-disc picture disc in a regular LP jacket with a thin-card lyric inner sleeve.[^discogs-uk-lp] Its eleven tracks, opening with "Soldier Side (intro)" and "B.Y.O.B.", were produced by Daron Malakian and Rick Rubin and mixed by Andy Wallace.[^wiki][^musicbrainz] The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 with 453,000 copies and was later certified double platinum.[^wiki]
