Lucozade Energy Apple Blast 1 l is a one-litre plastic bottle of the apple flavour of Lucozade Energy, the sparkling glucose drink of the British Lucozade brand, sold with a £1.50 price mark on its neck.[^offphoto1][^kugans] Lucozade has belonged to the Japanese group Suntory since 2013, and its British company Lucozade Ribena Suntory markets the drink.[^wikipedia][^grocer2021] The label gives 35 kcal, 8.4 g of carbohydrate and 4.3 g of sugars per 100 ml, and 87 kcal per 250 ml serving.[^offphoto2] A retailer reproduction of the 1L label lists glucose syrup (12 %), apple juice from concentrate (2 %), the sweeteners aspartame and acesulfame K, and caffeine.[^amazon-uk] In March 2021 the maker replaced its 1 l Lucozade Energy bottles with a 900 ml size.[^grocer2021]
The owner said at the time that it had lowered the recommended price from £1.99 for a 1 l bottle to £1.50 for the 900 ml bottle, and used the change to move Lucozade Energy bottles to a transparent label that is easier to recycle.[^grocer2021] The maker's current range page lists the flavour as Apple.[^lucozade-range]
