Lucozade Energy Original 1 l is a one-litre PET bottle of the original flavour of Lucozade Energy, the sparkling glucose drink range of the British Lucozade brand, owned since 2013 by the Suntory group.[^wikipedia][^lucozade-range] Its label names it a "sparkling glucose drink with sugars and sweeteners", lists glucose syrup at 13 %, aspartame and acesulfame K, and gives 4.5 g of sugars per 100 ml, the level of the 2017 recipe that cut the drink's sugar ahead of the British soft drinks levy.[^offphoto][^wikipedia] A London wholesaler lists this barcode for cases of twelve one-litre bottles.[^enatural]
In March 2021 Lucozade replaced every one-litre Lucozade Energy bottle with a 900 ml bottle, and Suntory Beverage & Food GB & Ireland cut the recommended retail price from £1.99 for the litre to £1.50 for the 900 ml size.[^grocer2021] A photograph of the back label was uploaded to Open Food Facts in August 2018.[^off][^offphoto]
