This barcode belongs to the Japanese issue of the 2003 two-disc hybrid SACD remaster of Blonde on Blonde, Bob Dylan's seventh studio album, first released as a double album by Columbia Records on 20 June 1966.[^wiki-blonde] Catalogue number MHCP 10005-6 came out in Japan on 22 October 2003 on the Sony Records Int'l label, manufactured by Sony Music Direct (Japan).[^discogs][^mb] Each disc plays as an ordinary CD and carries stereo and 5.1 surround SACD programmes, the same remaster as the US issue Columbia C2H 90325.[^gem][^discogs] It comes in a digipak with an obi priced at ¥3,780 and two booklets, one in English and one in Japanese with Toyo Nakamura's liner notes.[^gem][^discogs] Tower Records Japan and Amazon.co.jp both list the barcode; neither could sell a new copy in September 2026.[^tower][^amazon-jp]
Bob Johnston produced the original Nashville sessions and Steve Berkowitz produced the reissue.[^discogs] Tower Records Japan still gives the label as Sony Music House, the name Sony Music Direct traded under until April 2003.[^tower][^ja-wiki-smd]
