Gut & Günstig Junger Gouda is a mild, savoury young Gouda with 48 % fat in dry matter, sold sliced in a 400 g tray of eleven slices under EDEKA's own-label brand Gut & Günstig.[^off-front] The back label names EDEKA ZENTRALE AG & Co. KG in Hamburg as the operator and prints the oval marks DE MV 026 EG and DE NI 058 EG, both establishments of Euro Cheese Vertriebs-GmbH; the photographed pack carries the MV026 print code of its Altentreptow dairy.[^off-back][^supermarktcheck-mv026] The label shows the European Vegetarian Union V-label and a 2014 DLG silver award seal, and prints no ingredient list.[^off-back]
The barcode was already on the first Barcodepedia in February 2007, typed in as a sliced 48 % fat cheese.[^bp2007] A 2010 consumer database entry names Euco GmbH, the EDEKA sourcing company, as its maker.[^dasistdrin]
