Hors Piste is a filtered, top-fermented blonde beer of 6.5% alcohol in a 33 cl bottle, brewed by Brasserie des Cimes in Aix-les-Bains, Savoie.[^cimes-hors-piste] The brewery describes it as a pale-ale-style mountain beer made from water, barley malt, hops, yeast and CO2.[^cimes-hors-piste] It was one of the brewery's first two beers, brewed in June 1999 as Bâton de Feu, the name the brewery says is now Hors-Piste.[^cimes-histoire][^lespuristes] The original Barcodepedia entry for this barcode, captured in 2008, still called it Bâton de Feu, a 6.5% ale in a 0.33 l bottle.[^bp2008] Open Food Facts holds a 2019 photo of the earlier illustrated label,[^off] and a French drinks shop listed the 33 cl bottle at EUR 3.30 in September 2026.[^hyperboissons]
Brasserie des Cimes was founded in 1998, became part of the Routin syrup group in 2004, has been led by Cindy Durchon since 2014 and redesigned its whole range for its 25th anniversary in 2023.[^cimes-histoire][^lespuristes]
