Mezmerize is the fourth studio album by the American heavy metal band System of a Down, released on 17 May 2005 by American Recordings and Columbia Records as the first half of a double album completed by Hypnotize.[^wiki] This barcode is the US single-CD edition, catalogue number CK 90648, in an embossed Digipak whose UPC sits on a shrink-wrap sticker rather than on the pack.[^mb][^discogs-us] It is © and ℗ 2005 Sony BMG Music Entertainment and was manufactured and distributed by Columbia Records, then a division of Sony BMG.[^discogs-us] Produced by Rick Rubin and Daron Malakian, its 11 tracks run about 36 minutes.[^discogs-us][^mb] The album entered the Billboard 200 at number one with 453,000 copies, and its single "B.Y.O.B." won a Grammy Award.[^wiki]
