This barcode belongs to the 2003 hybrid SACD reissue of Planet Waves, Bob Dylan's fourteenth studio album, recorded with the Band and first released by Asylum Records on 17 January 1974.[^wiki] Columbia issued it as catalogue number CH 90339 on 16 September 2003, one of the first fifteen titles in the Bob Dylan Revisited reissue series.[^hfr][^mb] The single disc plays as an ordinary CD and carries a stereo SACD programme, with no 5.1 surround mix although the album had a quadraphonic release in 1974.[^discogs][^gem] It comes in a three-panel digipak without a booklet, with Dylan's sleeve notes and unpublished photographs inside.[^gem]
Planet Waves was Dylan's first album to reach number one on the US Billboard chart and peaked at number seven in the UK.[^wiki] The album passed to Columbia in 1982; the 2003 SACD editions were later deleted, and Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab issued a new SACD in 2014.[^gem] The old Barcodepedia listed this barcode as "planet waves".[^bp-2007]
