Nothing Is Sound is the fifth studio album by the American alternative rock band Switchfoot, released in September 2005; it debuted at number three on the Billboard 200.[^wiki-album] This barcode is the US CD issued on Sparrow Records, catalogue number SPD 11383, with the same 12 tracks produced by John Fields and Switchfoot as the Columbia edition.[^musicbrainz][^discogs] Discogs credits Sparrow Records as marketer and EMI CMG Distribution as distributor, with copyright held by Sony BMG Music Entertainment.[^discogs] Sparrow, a Christian music label founded in 1976, belonged to EMI from 1992.[^wiki-sparrow] The disc is copy protected: some EMI versions of the album carry Cactus Data Shield, which blocks playback on computers and some CD players.[^musicbrainz]
