Aylmer Crushed Tomatoes is a 796 mL (28 fl oz) can of crushed tomatoes sold in Canada under the Aylmer brand; Barcodepedia first recorded this barcode under that name in 2008.[^bp-2008] The photographed can carries a bilingual English and French label, is marked Made in Canada and "since 1903", and bears a Non-GMO Project Verified badge.[^pack] Aylmer is a brand of Conagra Brands Canada, which says its crushed tomatoes are grown in California while other Aylmer tomatoes come from Ontario.[^conagra-aylmer] The Open Food Facts record tags France, but the pack is plainly Canadian.[^off]
Aylmer tomato products and a canning plant in Dresden, Ontario, passed from Del Monte Canada to ConAgra Foods in March 2012.[^sun-2012] A 2015 report found Aylmer the best-selling canned tomato in grocery stores in Aylmer, Quebec, and recorded no agreement on whether the brand was named after Aylmer, Ontario, or Aylmer, Quebec.[^bulletin-2015]
