Campbell's Condensed Chicken Noodle Soup is a canned condensed soup made by The Campbell's Company of Camden, New Jersey, and sold in the United States in a 10.75 oz (305 g) red-and-white steel can.[^offfront][^usda] The soup is chicken stock, enriched egg noodles and chicken meat, with less than 2% of salt, chicken fat, monosodium glutamate, starches, dried chicken broth, flavoring and other minor ingredients, and it declares egg, wheat and soy.[^offback] A half-cup serving of the condensed soup has 60 calories, and the can holds about two and a half servings.[^offback] Campbell's introduced the soup in 1934 as Noodle with Chicken; the maker says it became Chicken Noodle after a radio announcer misread an advertisement and the name stuck.[^history]
The can photographed in January 2026 prints 890 mg of sodium per serving, while the maker's own product page gives 840 mg for the same can.[^offback][^campbells] A label photographed in 2021 used cane sugar, dehydrated chicken broth and dehydrated onions where the current can prints sugar, dried chicken broth and onion powder.[^off2021] The company that makes it took its present name, The Campbell's Company, on 19 November 2024.[^gleif]
