Handel: The Complete Chamber Music is a nine-CD Philips box set, catalogue number 470 893-2, released in the United Kingdom on 11 November 2002, in which the Academy of St Martin in the Fields Chamber Ensemble plays George Frideric Handel's sonatas and trio sonatas.[^musicbrainz] It collects recordings made in London between 1978 and 1983, including the Op. 2 and Op. 5 trio sonatas, the "Dresden" sonatas and solo sonatas for flute, recorder, oboe and violin, with soloists such as Michala Petri, William Bennett and Iona Brown; the discs were made in Germany by Universal M & L and come with a 56-page booklet by Anthony Hicks.[^discogs] Reviewing the set in November 2002, David Vickers praised Hicks's documentation but found the modern-instrument performances dull when heard together.[^gfhandel]
