Kraft Singles American in the 24 oz (680 g) twin pack holds 32 slices of pasteurized prepared cheese product and is sold in the United States under the Kraft brand, with Kraft Heinz Foods Company of Chicago named on the back label.[^label-2024] Kraft Heinz lists the pack on its KRAFT SINGLES range at 50 calories per 21 g slice, describing it as made with real dairy and an excellent source of calcium.[^kh-am24] Kraft Singles were introduced in 1950 as Kraft De Luxe Process Slices, and the product has carried the "pasteurized prepared cheese product" name since a 2002 FDA warning over its use of milk protein concentrate.[^enwiki-singles]
Photographs of this pack record the label changing: the 2021 back declared annatto and paprika extract, natamycin and vitamin D3,[^label-2021] packs photographed in 2022 and 2024 printed 60 calories a slice,[^label-2022][^label-2024] and the current maker list uses sorbic acid and vitamin A palmitate.[^kh-am24] A 2007 Barcodepedia page already listed this barcode as a 24 oz Kraft American Singles twin pack.[^bp2007]
