Widescreen Review is an American home theatre magazine published by WSR Publishing, an independent publisher, under the tagline "The Essential Home Theatre Resource".[^wsr-news] Launched in 1992, it reviewed every widescreen LaserDisc release and from 1997 every widescreen DVD; in 2000 it was a monthly sold on specialty magazine racks and by subscription, with Gary Reber as editor-in-chief and publisher.[^wsr-news] This barcode is the newsstand UPC printed on its issues: an eBay listing gives it for issue 27 of April 1998,[^ebay-27][^wsr-issue27] and upcitemdb records it for the June 2000 issue.[^upcitemdb]
