The Samick CR1 Corsair is a four-string electric bass guitar, and this barcode is the black-finish version sold in the United States.[^eighth] It belongs to the Corsair series that American luthier Greg Bennett designed for Samick, the South Korean instrument maker.[^gb-cr1][^samick-wp] The maker describes the Corsair as a bass with a body scaled down from the large early electric basses for comfort, and a smaller, angled-back headstock that lightens the neck and increases string pressure at the nut.[^gb-cr1] It has a double-cutaway sculpted body, a bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, die-cast tuners and a vintage stop tailpiece.[^gb-cr1]
