Toblerone Milk Chocolate 50 g is the single bar of Toblerone, Swiss milk chocolate with honey and almond nougat (10 %), sold under the EAN-8 barcode 76145513.[^off-ingr-2020] Its packs say it is made in Switzerland,[^off-back-2014][^off-back-2022] and the brand belongs to Mondelez International.[^wikipedia] One barcode covers several concurrent national wrappers: a Nordic pack in Finnish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and English,[^off-ingr-2020] a Spanish and Portuguese pack naming Mondelez companies in Madrid and Amadora,[^off-ingr-2019] and a pack with the French Info-tri mark.[^off-back-2024] A British wholesaler and a Calgary delicatessen list it under this code.[^brandfactory][^edelweiss]
Toblerone was created in Bern in 1908; its name joins Tobler, the surname of co-founder Theodor Tobler, and torrone, the Italian word for nougat.[^wikipedia] It was made only in Bern until 2022, when a limited part of the range began production in Bratislava.[^wikipedia] A 2014 photograph shows this bar under Kraft Foods importers in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain,[^off-back-2014] and the old Barcodepedia listed it as Toblerone 50g in 2008.[^bp-2008]
