Propane is a three-carbon alkane of formula C3H8, a gas at ordinary temperature and pressure that liquefies when compressed, a by-product of natural gas processing and petroleum refining and a constituent of liquefied petroleum gas; it is also the propellant of many household aerosol sprays.[^wikiprop] It is one of the three propellants in the 150 ml Dove Invisible Dry anti-perspirant aerosol, named after butane and isobutane in the ingredient statement.[^azuk]
