Ready Brek, stylised on the box as "Ready brek", is Weetabix Limited's range of super smooth instant porridge: milled wholegrain oats fortified with vitamins and minerals, stirred into hot milk and ready in about ninety seconds.[^maker][^wiki-rb] J. Lyons and Co. created it from work by Walter Pitts at its Greenford factory and launched it in 1957 as an instant porridge; Weetabix bought the brand in June 1990 and still sells original and chocolate varieties.[^wiki-rb] Banana, butterscotch, strawberry, butter, golden syrup, gingerbread, toffee and honey have all been discontinued.[^wiki-rb]
