## About <!--about-->
Chocolate-coated toffee created by Côte d'Or in Belgium in 1934, and an iconic Belgian sweet.[^wiki-chokotoff] Each piece is a semi-hard chocolate caramel of about 30 × 15 × 15 mm in a slanted-cuboid shape under a dark chocolate shell some 2 mm thick, twist-wrapped in dark brown greaseproof paper with a gold houndstooth pattern and a foil band carrying the Chokotoff and Côte d'Or names and the elephant.[^wiki-chokotoff] The name joins "choko" to a contraction of "toffee", probably playing on Dutch *tof*, meaning nice.[^wiki-chokotoff] The line has grown beyond the original dark version: a white-chocolate Chokotoff with the same caramel centre followed in 2010.[^wiki-chokotoff]
