Warner Communications Inc. (WCI) is the American media company that grew out of Kinney National Services, which bought the Warner Bros.-Seven Arts studio in 1969 and reincorporated as Warner Communications Inc. in 1972, with Warner Bros., the Warner-Elektra-Atlantic record business and Warner Cable beneath it.[^wiki-warnermedia] It is a Delaware corporation registered with the SEC.[^sec-wci] In 1990 Time Inc. bought all of its shares and renamed itself Time Warner Inc.[^wiki-warnermedia] At the end of 2002 it was the direct parent of the record company London-Sire Records Inc., formerly Sire Records Group Inc., within AOL Time Warner.[^aoltw-ex21]
