## About <!--about-->
Universal Manufacturing & Logistics GmbH ran the CD and DVD plant at Emil-Berliner-Strasse 13 in Langenhagen, near Hanover. Discogs dates it to 1 April 1999, after Seagram combined PolyGram and MCA into Universal Music Group, and says discs were stamped "MADE IN GERMANY BY UNIVERSAL M & L".[^discogs-uml] In 2005 Universal Music Group sold the plant, then employing about 1,000 people, to Entertainment Distribution Company (EDC).[^heise] Discogs says the plant was renamed EDC GmbH on 31 May 2005; whether it kept the same register entry was not confirmed, so this stub keeps the name printed on the discs.[^discogs-uml]
