Teldec Classics International GmbH was a German record company that operated the Teldec Classics label; it was established in October 1989 from parts of TELDEC Schallplatten GmbH and registered in Hamburg on 29 November 1989 under company number HRB 43274.[^discogs-tci] It took over the classical roster that TELDEC Schallplatten GmbH had licensed mostly to its Telefunken and Decca labels, after Warner Communications acquired TELDEC in 1988.[^discogs-teldec-label] The register entry gives its object as producing and selling recordings, films and other media chiefly of classical music and literature, with a share capital of DM 100,000.[^northdata-tci]

From 23 December 1992 its immediate parent was Warner Music Germany Group GmbH & Co. Holding OHG, the Hamburg holding company of Warner Music's German business.[^discogs-tci] In 2001 its operational headquarters moved from Hamburg to London under Warner Classics International, the London classical division whose labels included Erato, Finlandia and Teldec; in 2003 the division was merged into Warner Classics.[^discogs-tci][^discogs-wci] The company was dissolved on 25 September 2002, the date the Hamburg register published its liquidation; the register published its removal on 3 December 2003.[^discogs-tci][^northdata-tci]
