Suntory Global Spirits Inc., formerly Beam Suntory, Inc. and Beam Inc., is an American spirits company and a subsidiary of the Japanese group Suntory Holdings, which completed its purchase of Beam in April 2014 and renamed the business Suntory Global Spirits in May 2024.[^wiki-sgs] The Delaware registrant with EDGAR CIK 789073 was named American Brands, Inc. and then Fortune Brands, Inc. before it became Beam Inc. in October 2011.[^sec-beam] As Fortune Brands it was the parent that spun off ACCO World in 2005 to form ACCO Brands Corporation.[^wiki-acco]
