Mission Advancement Corp.’s Form 10-K (SEC, filed 2022-04-01, new References row `mac-10k`) states that Jahm Najafi has served as founder, CEO and owner of The Najafi Companies since 2002, so the firm is held by a natural person: Identity now carries `ownership_status: no_corporate_parent` with `ownership_source: ^mac-10k`, and About explains that evidence. GLEIF holds no LEI for the firm and nothing in SEC filings or on its own site names a company above it. Also added References rows `apollo-8k` (Apollo Education Group 8-K of 2016-02-08, which names the firm as Najafi Companies, LLC — now `legal_name` and a `legal` alias) and `erosstx` (Eros STX Global 6-K exhibit of 2021-12-07 on the STX Entertainment sale). Rewrote `summary`, which asserted continuing ownership of Cinram; added Establishments rows for the Phoenix head office and the New York and Paris offices, a `name` alias for The Najafi Companies, and a second About paragraph on the Cinram, STX, Mission Advancement and Apollo transactions and on the firm’s own current/historical holdings list. That list now places Cinram among the historical holdings, so I have flagged company/cinram-group, whose `owned_by` row runs from 2012 with no end.. This is the current version.

Najafi Companies is a private investment firm in Phoenix, Arizona, founded by Jahm Najafi in 2002, with holdings in consumer goods, retail, e-commerce, sport, media and technology.[^najafi-site] It is not a fund: it invests internally generated capital and concentrates on a few holdings instead of diversifying, so it owes no capital to outside partners.[^najafi-europe] Jahm Najafi has been its founder, chief executive and owner since 2002, so the firm is held by an individual and has no company above it.[^mac-10k] Its media investments have included Cinram, the optical-disc manufacturer whose North American and European operations it bought in 2012 and 2013,[^najafi-europe] and STX Entertainment.[^erosstx]
