Cinram International Income Fund is the Toronto income trust into which Cinram International Inc. was converted by a plan of arrangement effective 5 May 2006, approved by the shareholders on 28 April and by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on 4 May; common shares were exchanged one for one for units of the Fund, 52,321,773 units were issued, and the units began trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol CRW.UN on 8 May 2006.[^cinram-nccs][^cinram-mcr] It stands at the top of the group: the Monitor of the group's 2012 insolvency proceedings states that the Fund is the ultimate parent of the Cinram Group and charts it above CII Trust, Cinram International Limited Partnership, Cinram International ULC and Cinram International Inc., with no entity above it.[^fti-prefiling] Its units were held by the former shareholders of the corporation and by the public through the exchange.[^cinram-mcr]
The Securities and Exchange Commission carries the Fund on the file the corporation had used, CIK 0000908262, under the name Cinram International Inc. until 8 May 2006 and as Cinram International Income Fund from that date.[^edgar-cik] By the time it obtained an initial order under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act on 25 June 2012, together with the company and CII Trust, it had been renamed C International Income Fund; the group's North American assets and business were sold to Cinram Group Inc. on 31 August 2012 and its European business on 5 February 2013, and the Monitor's certificate of 24 February 2016 terminated the proceedings.[^fti-cinram]
