Chinese central state-owned cultural enterprise founded in December 2020, working in film and television, media, publishing and distribution, cultural tourism and financial investment.[^grandunity] Its directly held companies include China International Culture Group, Sino United Publishing, Bauhinia Magazine, Sil-Metropole Organisation and the China Fund News.[^grandunity] Sino United Publishing, the owner of Hong Kong's Joint Publishing, Chung Hwa and Commercial Press, joined it in 2021.[^sup-history]

It is a wholly state-owned enterprise for which the Ministry of Finance exercises the shareholder's duties on behalf of the State Council, so no company stands above it.[^zhwp-bauhinia] The group runs twin headquarters in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and its Hong Kong registered company took the name Bauhinia Culture (Hong Kong) Holdings Limited on 19 February 2021.[^zhwp-bauhinia]
