## About <!--about-->
Westminster is an American classical record label co-founded in New York in 1949 by record-shop owner Mischa Naida, businessman James Grayson, conductor Henry Swoboda and Henry Gage; its slogan "natural balance" referred to its single-microphone technique.[^wp-westminster] It was sold to ABC-Paramount in the early 1960s, stopped making new recordings in 1965, and passed to MCA Records with ABC in 1979.[^wp-westminster] Its label code is LC 00393, and the catalogue is now owned by Deutsche Grammophon, which reissued it on CD in the "Westminster The Legacy" series.[^discogs-westminster][^discogs]
