Warp Records is a British independent record label founded in Sheffield in 1989 by Steve Beckett, Robert Mitchell and Robert Gordon, out of a record shop the three had opened in 1987.[^wiki-warp] Its first release was "Track With No Name" by Gordon's band Forgemasters, and its 1992 compilation Artificial Intelligence helped establish intelligent dance music.[^wiki-warp] The label moved to London in 2000 and has released records by Aphex Twin, Autechre, Boards of Canada, Squarepusher, Flying Lotus and Grizzly Bear.[^wiki-warp] It appears beside Sire on the United States CD edition of Aphex Twin's Come to Daddy EP, whose recording and publishing copyright Warp Records Ltd. holds.[^discogs]
