TiP ("Toll im Preis", roughly "great price") is a German entry-price own label. It was introduced in 1987 by the retailer Schaper at the Real-Kauf hypermarkets, a predecessor of Real, and was later also sold at the Metro group's Extra, Comet and Bolle chains and in the TiP discount stores until 1999.[^wiki-tip] The logo was modernised in 2008.[^wiki-tip] After Real was broken up, its stores advertised the switch from TiP to Markant's Jeden Tag label from 6 September 2021, and the remaining mein real stores replaced TiP with Rewe's ja!.[^wiki-tip] Packs such as the TiP Nuss-Nougat-Creme name real,- Handels GmbH as the company they were made for.[^label]
