Added an Identity `summary` (the line under the title and the Google description): what the brand is, who owns it and that it has long been one of the best-selling UK brands. Added the Commons wordmark as `images` (File:Richmond cigarettes logo.png, public domain), which is the only freely licensed logo on the article. Added four References rows beside the existing `wp-richmond` (re-accessed today): `bbc-smoking` (BBC News, 29 June 2007, the ASH table of the UK's best-selling cigarettes on 2004 figures, which dates and quantifies the fourth and fifth places Wikipedia asserts undated: Superkings 6.6 per cent, King Size 4.9 per cent), `uk-sp` (SI 2015/829 reg. 1(2), which fixes 20 May 2016 as the day standardised packaging came into force), `tr-revamp` (Talking Retail, 27 September 2021: value-tier repositioning, Real Blue renamed Richmond Original, packs of 20 at £9.25) and `tr-compact` (Talking Retail, 21 August 2023: Richmond Compact at £10.99, sticks 13 per cent slimmer); `tr-superslims` (Talking Retail, 2 August 2011, Imperial's own announcement) carries the Superslims launch and Imperial's one-in-ten-purchases figure. About is now a 134-word lede plus a history paragraph running from the 1968 Canadian Strickman-filter pack to the 2023 Compact. Raised `owned_by company/imperial-tobacco` from `sourced` to `verified`: Wikipedia, the BBC table and Imperial's own trade announcements agree independently. Added search aliases Richmond Superkings, Richmond King Size and Richmond Original. Three things stay off the page: no `website`, because Imperial's own site does not list Richmond (its brand-portfolio page names only growth brands, checked live and in Wayback captures from 2019, 2021 and 2023) and no official brand site could be cited; the ownership walk upward needed nothing, since company/imperial-tobacco already carries `owned_by` Imperial Tobacco Holdings and `parent_org` Imperial Brands, and company/imperial-brands is recorded `no_corporate_parent`, so no cleanup flag was filed; and I left out the second Commons file on the article, File:Richmond cigarettes pack, pic1.JPG — I opened it, and it shows a vintage 'Richmond Pure Virginia Cigarettes' pack of 20 that no source ties to Imperial's brand, so it would have illustrated the page with the wrong thing. The searched barcode 50433919 already has its page (product/00000050433919, Richmond King Size) and it points at this brand, so the brand page answers that search through its product list. | Diff |
