Kept this page (the full name used by Wikipedia, and two relation rows) as the survivor and moved in the other page`s disambiguation line and its References row discogs-eu (Discogs release 567304, European CD of Unwritten, cat. 82876 63999 2); the alias Phonogenic was already here. Re-read Wikipedia and Discogs label 46291: facts confirmed; added the Josh Krajcik signing and We Are Hear detail from Wikipedia. Rewrote the originated_by note so it names sources in words instead of a stray ^ch-smeuk marker, and so it no longer equates the Discogs parent label with company 01471066 (whose page says the former Sony Music Entertainment (UK) Ltd is a different entity). brand/phonogenic has been put on the cleanup queue to receive merged_into: brand/phonogenic-records.. This is the current version.

Phonogenic Records is a British record label, today under the RCA Label Group of Sony Music Entertainment, that was originally conceived under BMG UK & Ireland; its roster has included Natasha Bedingfield, Ross Copperman and The Script.[^wiki-phonogenic] Discogs files the label under Sony Music Entertainment (UK) Ltd.[^discogs-phonogenic] The imprint appears alongside BMG UK & Ireland on the 2004 UK and Irish CD of Bedingfield's debut album Unwritten, and signs its 2004 European CD with catalogue number 82876 63999 2.[^discogs-uk][^discogs-eu]
The label was set up in 2003 by Paul Lisberg, formerly of the A&R department of EMI Music Publishing, Tops Henderson, who came from artist management, and the songwriters Andrew Frampton and Steve Kipner, and its first signing was the then 21-year-old Natasha Bedingfield; The Script joined in 2005. In 2011 Phonogenic entered a five-year joint venture with Sony Music Entertainment, under which its management team also took charge of Sony Music UK's Epic label. Josh Krajcik, runner-up on the American X Factor in 2011, also signed with the label. Bedingfield left in 2017 for Linda Perry and Kerry Brown's We Are Hear label.[^wiki-phonogenic]
