Panzani is a French brand of dry pasta, started by Jean Panzani in Parthenay in 1950 and owned since the end of 2021 by CVC Capital Partners.[^wikipedia-en] It replaced his post-war Francine brand as Pasta Panzani, and its 500 g transparent cellophane bags were a novelty when French pasta was sold in cardboard or tin boxes.[^wikipedia-fr] The brand belongs to Panzani S.A.S. of Lyon, which Ebro Foods sold to a CVC fund together with the Ferrero, Regia, Zakia and Le Renard brands.[^ebro-2021]
