Lysol is an American brand of cleaning and disinfecting products, introduced in 1889 and owned by Reckitt, which sells the similar Dettol or Sagrotan in other markets; in India and Bangladesh it is spelled Lizol.[^wikipedia] The range includes disinfectant sprays such as the Crisp Linen aerosol registered with the US EPA under 777-99.[^rbna]

Lysol was created by Lehn & Fink, which Sterling Drug acquired in 1967; Reckitt & Colman acquired L&F in 1994 when Bayer acquired Sterling-Winthrop. As of 2015 Lysol products were distributed by Reckitt Benckiser LLC of Parsippany, New Jersey.[^wikipedia]
