Domestos is a British brand of household cleaning products based on bleach, mainly sodium hypochlorite. It was first produced in 1929 by the industrial chemist Wilfred Handley and sold door to door in Newcastle upon Tyne, was acquired by Lever Brothers in 1961 and is made by Unilever.[^wiki] Its UK advertising slogan "Kills all known germs.
