## About <!--about-->
Cocio is a Danish chocolate milk brand founded in Esbjerg in 1951 by Anker Pallesen, who is said to have taken the idea home from a trip to the United States; the first plant filled about a thousand bottles a day.[^arla-brand][^enwiki] The drink is still made at a dedicated factory in Esbjerg and is built from milk, cocoa and sugar with no additives.[^arla-brand] Arla Foods took a half share in 2002 and has been the sole owner since 1 January 2008.[^enwiki][^arla-brand] The brand's own site runs three lines: Cocio Classic, Cocio Dark and Cocio Delight, with Classic sold as a 400 ml glass bottle and as a four-pack of 250 ml cans.[^cocio-site][^cocio-classic] Danish trade documents for the brand are published by Arla Foods Foodservice.[^arla-datasheet] The name is registered in Denmark to Cocio Chokolademælk A/S at Øresundsvej 15 in Esbjerg N.[^cvr] Beyond Denmark the drink is exported around the Nordic region and to several other markets.[^enwiki]
