About Urban Outfitters
Urban Outfitters, Inc. is a multinational lifestyle retail corporation headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, operating in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, several Western European countries, Poland, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. Its Urban Outfitters stores sell fashion, footwear, beauty products, accessories and housewares to young adults, as well as music, chiefly vinyl records and cassettes.[1] The business began in 1970 as the store Free People, founded by Richard Hayne, Judy Wicks and Scott Belair as a University of Pennsylvania entrepreneurship class project, and was renamed Urban Outfitters and incorporated in 1976. The group's portfolio also includes Anthropologie, Free People, Terrain and BHLDN.[1]
